The new Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX is an ultra-wide angle lens with a fast f/2.8 aperture for better photography in low-light situations.

Even though it may seem that Tokina is not as popular as Sigma and Tamron in some part of the world, Tokina does strive hard to offer Quality alternative lens to both Canon dSLR and Nikon whose existing product lines are as goods as Sigma and Tamron as well.

Tokina 11-16mm AT-X 116 PRO DX retails around US$ 569.00 and the nearest counter part would be the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM ELD SLD Aspherical which is a bit expensive - retail around US$ 649.00 yet is not as fast as the AT-X 116 with a f/2.8.

This is a great alternative IF ever i need a good wide angle lens - many have tried it as well.
